Last year I went to Zakopane in the Polish Tatra mountains. I've visited the place before as a child, when I was about six years old. While Zakopane always was a touristic town, it got much more so in the meantime. I was warned before by my family but was still curious and in the end likedthe odd mix of mountains and fun fair atmosphere. One building I liked was this old department store (Polish: "Dom Handlowy") which reminded me of the socialist days and my childhood in Poland. The supermatket in the ground floor sells an affordable and tasty Graham bread (gray bread). Taken with a Pixel 3a in September 2025.
